World Savings Day Celebration

Annualy on October 31 World Savings Day is celebrated around the world.

The purpose of the World Savings Day celebration and event is to empower adolescents and young people to build a responsible financial future and protect the rights of consumers of financial services.

The State Savings Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan "Amonatbonk" held an educational event with the participation of a wide range of young people and students of the Tajik State Financial-Economic University.

At the beginning of the event, Mr. Zainiddinov A.N., Head of Deposit Policy Division of the Department of Deposits, Payments and Securities familiarized the participants with the history of Amonatbonk, which was established on the basis of credit-savings banks and started its activity in 1885.

It was noted that Amonatbonk provides a number of banking services to the population within the framework of implementation of the social policy of the state. They include payment of pensions, salaries of budgetary enterprises and organizations, payment of benefits to low-income families, families affected by natural disasters, acceptance of mandatory payments, including taxes, utility payments, funds of the National Testing Center, customs duties, etc. In total, Amonatbonk services cover more than 200 items.

The participants of the event were also provided with detailed information about the types of deposits, interest rates and advantages of opening deposits with the Bank, in particular "Term Deposit", "Term Savings Deposit", "Term Deposit with Additional Contribution", "Children's", "Pension" and "Overseas Compatriot" deposits.

Sattorov B.J., the leading economist of the investment and internal projects division of the Credit Department told about overdraft services and soft loans provided by the Bank on affordable interest rates, noting that SSB RT "Amonatbonk" makes its contribution to the socio-economic development of the country and constantly provides soft loans at low interest rates, including within the framework of "Kishovarz-2021", "Istiklol-30", "Donish-2021".

The leading economist of the remote payments department of the Deposits, Payments and Securities Department informed the participants of the event about the modern banking services and how to use "Amonat-Mobile" mobile application and make payments for more than 20 types of services. In the course of the presentation a great interest was shown by the audience and they took an opportunity to install the application "Amonat-Mobile" by means of QR code.

In the process of interactive participation young people and students have actively participated in the training devoted to the "World Savings Day" and got the concrete answers to their numerous questions.

Along with the presentation of promotional and gift attributes to all participants, three active participants of the training were awarded with commemorative gifts and a "Term Deposit" deposit account was opened in the name of three other young activists in the Board of the State Savings Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan "Amonatbonk".

Organization and conduct of such events contributes to improving financial literacy of the population, including adolescents and young people, as well as will increase their confidence in the country's banks.
